Hi, I’m from Truro, Nova Scotia.


A retired High School Counsellor, I curl out of the Truro Curling Club, where I have been on the Board of Directors for 4 years, an NSCA Official for 5 years, coordinated the Friday Night Community League for 4 years and in 2001was the recipient of the Percy Candle Award for outstanding volunteer service to the club.

I very much enjoyed Chairing the Truro Host Committees for the Scots Centenary Tour in 2003 and the Scottish Women’s Tour in 2005 including playing against the men’s teams.
Active in the Conservative Party of Nova Scotia and Canada, I assist the VON, St Georges Anglican Church, the Brotherhood of Anglican Churchmen and, with my wife, the Truro Cancer Society.
My passion for baseball while with the Truro Senior Baseball Club where I held executive positions including coach, broadcaster etc, have given way to somewhat more moderate activities such as golf and duplicate bridge.
Through my education and life experience I have been fortunate to develop strong organizational, motivational and communication skills and I truly enjoy occasions to renew old friendships and to spend quality time with others similarly inclined.
