A competitive curler I won the Eastern Ontario Military Curling Championship in 1987, participated in the NB Provincial Championships for several years, won the Oromocto Men’s Open Championship in 1989 and represented CFB Gagetown in the Atlantic Regional Curling Championships in 1990. I have participated in the Provincial Legion Curling Championships since 1990 and was runner-up Skip in 2001, and Provincial Champion as Mate in 2002 leading to the pleasure of participating in Legion Nationals that year. I was a member of the Organising Committee of the Atlantic-Under 17 Curling Championships in Oromocto in 2006.
It was a real pleasure to Chair the Oromocto Host Committee during the Scots Centenary Tour visit in search of the Strathcona Cup in 2003.
An avid golfer and Activity Coordinator Fundraising, Oromocto Public Hospital Foundation, I chair the Hospital Foundation Golf Tournament. I have been President of the Oromocto Public Hospital Staff Association for several years, Vice Chairman of the Planning Advisory Committee for the Town of Oromocto and am a member of Canadian Legion #93.
Apart from all of this I enjoy woodworking, fishing and politics.
